Upcycling, or eco-friendly fashion, is a way to repurpose a garment from its original function and turn it into a brand-new, personalized piece! All you have to do is choose a few items from your closet ( we’ll help you pick the best project), and the goal is to repair, cut, sew, and add embroidery, ribbons, or patches to give them a second life.

This workshop is perfect for learning to sew with guidance!

Workshop Schedule (2 hours):

• Decide on a project to work on, starting with a garment from your closet (we’ll choose the most suitable one together).
• Choose materials, finishes, etc.
• Hand-sew your custom piece (with or without a sewing machine).

Come repair, embellish, update, or simply give a new look to a garment to create one that reflects your personal style. Lou, a professional fashion designer with over 20 years of experience, will be happy to guide you through your project and provide plenty of ideas.
