Learn how to best pair wines and cheeses during this oenological workshop in Lyon. You'll explore the great diversity of French cheeses, how to pair them with different styles of wine, and tips for creating original pairings.
Course of the workshop (2h):
- You'll cover the following topics:
- The main cheese families
- The basics of wine and cheese pairing
- Different types of wine (vins de voile, vins mutés...)
- Tricky pairings
- Original pairings
- Tasting and analysis of 5 wines and 5 cheeses
- Each participant leaves with an educational pack and receives an educational booklet by e-mail at the end of the course.
Led by an expert sommelier, this oenological experience will enable you to master the subtleties of this pairing in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Great guy who made us the degust but 120€ for 2 for not having the equivalent of a bottle nor a cheese is frankly abused.

Interesting, but no more. Very small portions of cheese, 5-glass test (the wines were served in the same glass). The wines were not exceptional. But interesting. All in all, poor value for money.

It seems that there were more participants (18) than expected (14). As a result, not everyone got the same amount of cheese. For example, out of 5 pieces, I only got the Comté rind and no piece of Blue cheese. What a shame! I don't think I'll be repeating the experience with Funbooker if their practice is to overbook/overfill...
