Unusual tastings: learn how to taste exceptional products

Are you a curious gourmet by nature? Do you like to learn and discover new things every day? Our unusual tasting workshops are sure to please!

On Funbooker, we've selected several tastings that are out of the ordinary.

Caviar

Consumption of this luxury gourmet food, made from sturgeon eggs, originated in the Byzantine Empire. Caviar has a mild flavor reminiscent of dried fruit, butter or yeast.

Alcohols

Several spirits will take you on a journey around the world! Tasting sake, a Japanese alcohol made from rice, you'll perceive aromas of fruit, spices, pepper, fruit or aniseed. Gin is a Dutch drink made from a blend of agricultural ethyl alcohol and juniper berries. It sometimes contains spicy and herbaceous notes.

Seafood

We suggest an unusual tasting of shellfish (lobster, langoustine, crab, lobster...) or oysters, which can be paired with a twist of lemon! They'll melt on your tongue, revealing their iodized taste!

Truffle

This charismatic-smelling mushroom is divided into two main families. The slightly bitter black truffle contains over 50 aromatic compounds, giving it a very pronounced taste. The white truffle, more subtle, has aromas of wild mushroom, roe and hazelnut.

Tea

This hot beverage - which dates back to ancient times - is popular in every corner of the globe! It is widely drunk in Japan, the UK and Arab countries. It is prepared by infusing dried tea leaves and is divided into several families (black tea, green tea, white tea...).
