Canoeing down the Rance river

Self-guided trip - From age 6 - All levels - Distance covered: 40 km

For 3 days, you'll paddle down the Ille-et-Rance canal to the rhythm of the locks and tide mills. Then you'll reach the Rance. The seaside and maritime replace the bucolic and wild. A breath of iodized air, and a seawater bath for the more adventurous, await you on arrival.

How does it work?

  • Day 1: You'll cross the town of Saint-Domineuc before embarking on a 13 km descent to Evran. You'll pass through a number of locks, an essential part of the journey.
  • Day 2: Leaving Evran, you'll head for Léhon, one of Brittany's most beautiful towns. An unmissable stopover! Your day ends in Dinan, a pretty medieval town.
  • Day 3: Departing from Dinan, this third day will give you the opportunity to enjoy a stopover along the quays. You'll pass through a final lock, then enjoy a unique setting between tide mills and carrelet huts. You'll arrive in Plouër-sur-Rance, your final destination.

This itinerant canoe trip is accessible to all. You don't need to have canoed before to get started.
