First flight in a motorised paraglider in Crots (05)

Thierry offers you the opportunity to fly over the Southern Alps in a paramotor microlight. A professional in the discipline, he will share his passion for flying while helping you discover the lake and its surroundings. TheULM Paramotor is an aircraft made up of a paraglider wing, an integrated light engine and a propeller that provides the necessary thrust.

Microlight in Serre-Ponçon: take in the sights

Artificial lake located not far from Gap, in the Hautes Alpes, the lake of Serre-Ponçon is the 2nd largest artificial lake in Europe and spreads over an area of 3000 hectares at an altitude of almost 800 m. Surrounded by mountainous relief, it offers sumptuous landscapes between the blue of the lake and the green of the mountains. It is the ideal place to make a first flight in a microlight and contemplate this scenery from a height.

Course of the flight :

• Welcome at the base by Thierry: presentation of the paramotor and its operation and briefing on safety and rules on board.
• Installation on board the cart and take-off.
• Flight from 15 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the chosen formula.
• Soft landing and debriefing with the pilot.

Several options are available:

• Discovery flight (15 mn): passage over the runway, flight to the outskirts of Saint-Michel Bay with a view of the chapel in the distance. Return with a cutaway descent for a glide like a paraglider until landing.
• Panoramic flight (30 mn) : passage over the runway, flight to Saint-Michel bay with passage over the chapel, Chanteloube bay. Return to the village of Les Crots, and descent in a cutaway flight for a glide as in a paraglider until landing.
• Flight Evasion (45 mn) : passage over the runway, flight to the Saint-Michel bay with passage over the chapel, the Chanteloube bay, the Sauze-du-Lac. Return to the village of Les Crots with a view of Embrun, and descent in a cutaway flight for a glide as in a paraglider until landing.
• Flight Evasion Contemplation (1h) : passage over the runway, flight to the Saint-Michel bay with passage over the chapel, the Chanteloube bay, the Sauze-du-Lac, the Ubaye valley, the Serre-Ponçon dam. Return to the beginning of Embrun, and descent in a cutaway flight for a glide as in paragliding until the landing.
• Children's flight from 5 to 12 years old (8 to 10 mn) : passage over the runway, flight to the Savines bridge. Return with a descent in a cutaway flight for a glide like in paragliding until the landing.
