Thierry invites you to fly over the Southern Alps in a paramotor microlight. A professional in the discipline, he'll be delighted to share his passion for flying, while showing you around the lake and the surrounding area. TheULM Paramoteur is an aircraft made up of a paraglider wing, an integrated light engine and a propeller that provides the necessary thrust.

ULM in Serre-Ponçon: a feast for the eyes

A man-made lake not far from Gap in the Hautes Alpes region of France, Lac de Serre-Ponçon is the 2nd largest man-made lake in Europe, covering 3,000 hectares at an altitude of almost 800 m. Surrounded by mountainous terrain, it offers sumptuous scenery between the blue of the lake and the green of the mountains. It's the ideal place to take a first flight in a microlight and contemplate the scenery from above.

Course of the flight :

• Welcome to the base by Thierry: presentation of the paramotor and how it works, and briefing on safety and rules on board.
• Installation on board and take-off.
• Flight time: 15 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the package chosen.
• Soft landing and debriefing with the pilot.

Several formulas are available:

• Discovery flight (15 min.): fly over the runway to the outskirts of Saint-Michel Bay, with a view of the chapel in the distance. Return with a cutaway descent for a paraglider-like glide to the landing area.
• Panoramic flight (30 mins ): passing over the runway, flight to Baie Saint-Michel, passing over the chapel and Baie de Chanteloube. Return to the village of Les Crots, and glide down to the landing area.
• Vol Evasion (45 mins): over the runway, flight to Baie Saint-Michel, passing over the chapel, Baie de Chanteloube and Sauze-du-Lac. Return to the village of Les Crots, with a view of Embrun, and glide down to the landing area.
• Flight Evasion Contemplation (1h): over the runway, flight to Baie Saint-Michel, passing over the chapel, Baie de Chanteloube, Sauze-du-Lac, Ubaye valley, Serre-Ponçon dam. Return to the beginning of Embrun, and glide down in a paraglider-like glide to the landing area.
• Children's flight (5 to 12 years) (8 to 10 mins.): fly over the runway to the Savines bridge. Return with a cutaway descent for a paraglider-like glide to landing.
