Come learn how to make your own hat and become a true fashion designer! In the 9th arrondissement, Karin welcomes you to her studio located in the rooftops of Paris. This cozy, compact space is perfect for inspiration and creativity.
A few words about Karin: She’s a hat designer who has created her own brand, which she releases in seasonal collections. She also designs hats for the entertainment industry and takes on custom orders. She decided to create this introductory workshop to share her passion for hat-making.
Workshop Schedule (2 hours):
- Explanation of the workshop’s structure over refreshments.
- Learn about Karin’s background and her passion for hats.
- Create your own hat based on your preferences and the availability of materials.
- Guidance from Karin throughout the activity.
- Each participant leaves with their hat and a variety of techniques for creating new pieces.
Two types of hats are offered:
- The bibi hat: You’ll create the base of the hat using sisal before Karin teaches you how to use feathers, a veil, flowers, and other accessories to personalize your creation.
- The straw hat: You’ll shape the straw using a hat block before adding the decorations of your choice to match your style.
The workshop is held in a very small group of no more than two students so that you can receive Karin’s undivided attention. It will be a truly special experience.

The workshop didn't take place; the hatter had forgotten our appointment; you didn't remind her; we're looking into rescheduling.

Very good workshop. The milliner is very pleasant and helpful and it's really interesting to understand how hats are modelled!

A hostess at your disposal (great) quality materials, perhaps lacking a book to see the achievements of previous participants and a few more trinkets to choose from The best thing would be to leave with a photo of yourself as a bibi !!!!
