Discover the art of Japanese braiding through the creation of a Kumihimo bracelet, in a delightful workshop for parent and child. Guided step by step, you'll explore this ancestral technique while letting your creativity flow. A fun and accessible moment, ideal for creating a unique and colorful piece of jewelry together.
Course of the workshop (1h) :
- Welcome and presentation of Kumihimo, a traditional Japanese weaving technique.
- Discover the basics of this delicate art and its many possibilities.
- Make your own circular cardboard braiding loom.
- Choose your colors from a selection of cotton yarns.
- Try your hand at braiding by making your own bracelet.
- Finalize your creation for a harmonious, personalized piece of jewelry.
At the end of the workshop, each participant will leave with his or her own braided bracelet, cardboard loom and a mini instruction sheet for reproducing the technique at home. A creative and convivial workshop to share a moment of discovery and creation for two.
