The itinerary—From Sotogrande to Puerto de la Duquesa

Duration: 7 to 8 hours, including a 4-hour stop at the port

The cruise departs at the time of your choice, with a welcome drink and appetizers served on board as you settle in. The crossing takes 1 to 2 hours and passes by Punta Chullera, Playa de la Chullera, Playa de los Toros, and Playa de Las Gaviotas, in waters where dolphins, turtles, and sunfish are frequently spotted. Weather permitting, a stop along the way gives you the chance to swim, snorkel, or try out the paddleboard on board.

Upon arrival, you’ll have four hours of free time in Puerto de la Duquesa, a charming harbor lined with restaurants, bars, and shops, right next to Las Gaviotas Beach—perfect for having lunch there, strolling along the piers, or enjoying the beach. The return trip to Sotogrande is under sail, with—weather permitting—a detour through the marina’s inner canal and its colorful facades.

The Boat—Assol

Assol is a classic Spanish sailboat, carefully restored, which accommodates up to eight passengers on a private charter. It is captained by an experienced skipper and carries life jackets for adults, children, and medium-sized pets.

No sailing experience is required for this trip, and it’s perfect for both a family day out and an outing with friends. For larger groups, our partner can arrange a second sailboat.
