The itinerary—From Sotogrande to the Strait of Gibraltar

You’ll depart from the Sotogrande marina, sailing along the beaches of La Alcaidesa and La Hacienda, where the calm waters often see the first dolphins make an appearance. The sailboat then passes by the fishing village of La Atunara and its colorful boats, before sailing along the base of the eastern face of the Rock of Gibraltar: the change in the water’s color there marks the meeting of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. A scenic detour via Punta Europa, the southernmost point of the Rock, offers a view of Africa on clear days and provides a prime vantage point for spotting migratory birds and cetaceans. The cruise concludes in the Bay of Algeciras with its bustling port activity, before returning to Sotogrande.

The Boat - Assol

Assol is a sailboat that accommodates up to six passengers, accompanied by a professional crew that hoists the sails as soon as the wind permits. Restrooms are available on board.
