Want to discover a fascinating visual phenomenon? Dive into the world of themoiré effect, an illusion of movement created without a motor or animation, solely by the interplay of superimposed patterns!

Workshop schedule (2h) :

• Fun introduction (15 min)
  - Observation of moiré examples (images, animations).
  - Mini-exchanges: "Does it really move?", "Why does your eye think it does?".
  - Simple presentation of visual perception: retina, frames, illusion of movement.
• Manipulation and experimentation (30 min.)
  - Superimpositions of printed sheets with patterns (circles, lines, waves).
  - Use layers or transparencies.
  - Direct observation of the illusion created by sliding, rotating or tilting.
• Artistic creation (1h)
  - Choice of graphic background and moving motif.
  - Freehand or geometric drawing (with ruler or stencil).
  - Mounting in a small moiré frame (paper, plastic or pouch).
  - Add color or narrative elements.
• Sharing and perception (15 min)
  - Test the illusions created by each participant.
  - Discuss what you see... and what you think you see.
  - Souvenir photo or mini-exhibition.

No drawing skills required: just curiosity,keen observation and graphic creativity! The photos "Je t'aime", "fleur non éclose / fleur éclose" and "Œil ouvert / Œil fermé" actually represent a single work of art - and that's the magic of illusion!
