The team looks forward to seeing you at their base in Axat, on the banks of the Aude River between the Saint-Georges and Pierre Lys Gorges. Surrounded by nature in Cathar country, you’ll have the chance to try your hand at rafting.

Rafting on the Aude

Guided tour - 2 hours - Class II to IV river - Ages 6 and up

Your guide: You’ll be accompanied and guided by Patrice or a member of his team. All instructors are state-certified and will share their passion with you.

How does it work?

Upon arrival at the water sports center, the team will provide you with all the necessary equipment and brief you on the safety guidelines to follow during the trip. Then it’s time to climb into your raft and enjoy 1.5 hours on the waters of the Aude.

Several routes are available:

• Discovery Rafting, 2 hours (ages 6 and up): a 6-kmroute designed to gently introduce you to the activity while offering plenty of thrills. Departures at 10:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 4:00 PM.
• Sport Rafting, 2 hours (ages 12 and up): a 7-km route featuring 1 hour and 15 minutes of stunning scenery, including the famous “crêpes” of Saint Martin Lys. You’ll drift along to the entrance of the Pierre Lys Gorges, where the river narrows and where it all begins… you’ll discover the “King Kong Ball” and the “Flipper”… Departures at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
• Full Rafting Tour, 3.5 hours: a 13-km route where you’ll combine the two rafting courses—Gorges de Saint Georges and Pierre Lys—with a stop at our base. Departure at 10:15 a.m.
