Come and discover the ancestral art of wickerwork in the heart of the Alsatian forest, in a soothing, natural setting. Gérard, passionate about this craft, will guide you in the creation of your own round basket or wicker basket, passing on his know-how and traditional weaving tricks.

How the workshop works :

• Gérard welcomes you with a cup of coffee and introduces you to the history of wicker and basketry.
• Choose your wooden or rope handles and personalize your object with colors, patterns or strips of fabric.
• Learn how to soak the strands, make the bottom cross, weave and shape the basket's volume. You'll also master finishing techniques with edges and handles.
• You can bring your own lunch , or take advantage of local restaurants for a well-deserved break.
• Continue your work and complete your creation under Gérard's expert guidance.

At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a one-of-a-kind basket, a creation you've made with your own hands, and skills you can reuse at home. This moment combining nature, craftsmanship and creativity will be a precious souvenir of your day in Alsace.
