Looking for a complete immersion in the world of handmade bookbinding ? This one-day workshop is the perfect opportunity to discover all the steps involved in making a real, solid and elegant bound notebook. Guided by Lucie, you'll learn how to sew a book block onto a sewing board, make a hard cover, then assemble the whole thing by hand. No experience necessary: come as you are, everything is provided on site.

Course of the workshop (5h30) :

• Welcome, presentation of materials and choice of cover paper.
• Production of custom-made cardboard covers.
• Sewing of signatures on a sewing machine, just like a real bookbinder.
• One-hour lunch break to relax and chat.
• Gluing of the color endpapers and final casing of the sewn block in the cover.

A rich and creative workshop, to leave with a unique, handmade notebook that you'll be proud to show off or give as a gift. All in a friendly, accessible atmosphere.
