Want to fully immerse yourself in the world of artisanal bookbinding ? This one-day workshop is the perfect opportunity to discover every step involved in creating a genuine, sturdy, and elegant bound notebook. Guided by Lucie, you’ll learn how to sew a book block on a sewing frame, create a hardcover, and then assemble it all by hand. No experience required: just come as you are— everything you need is provided.

Workshop itinerary (6.5 hours):

• Welcome, introduction to the materials, and selection of your cover paper.
• Making a custom-sized hardcover.
• Sewing the book blocks on a sewing frame, just like a real bookbinder.
• One-hour lunch break to relax and chat.
• Gluing the colored endpapers, then inserting the sewn block into the cover.
