Plunge into the heart of book craftsmanship and let Annie, bookbinder and book artist, guide you through a unique experience where you'll learn how to make a Coptic notebook (10x15cm).

Course of the workshop (2h30):

• Select from a wide range of papers and leathers to personalize your notebook to your taste
• Learn how to fold Ingres papers by hand, mark folds with a folding machine and cut with a knife.
• Manufacture the front cover : double, glue and cut with a scalpel using classic bookbinding techniques.
• Produce the cardboard cover by covering the cardboard with paper to prepare the structure of the notebook.
• Use a template to pierce the notebook and cover, then assemble the whole with thick waxed thread using traditional coptic stitching.
