At the heart of an estate dedicated to aromatic and dye plants, enjoy a rare experience centered on Pastel, the emblematic plant that has marked the history of dyers. From cultivation to processing, immerse yourself in an ancestral know-how handed down with passion.

Course of the activity (2h20) :

• Discovery of the estate and the cultivation of pastel, lavender and other plants depending on the season.
• Presentation of the pigment extraction process in the indigoterie
• Access to the vegetable dyeing workshop and explanation of traditional techniques from the XVIIᵉ century alongside the Master Pastelier
• Practical workshop: dyeing a textile in a vat, according to the rules of the art.
• Presentation of the virtues and uses of fresh, pure Pastel oil

The visit continues at the "À côté du potager" boutique , where you'll find Château des Plantes brand creations, made on the estate, as well as products from the beehive and organic aromatic plants.

A complete experience combining tradition, nature and creation, so you can leave with your own tinted piece and a memory of ancestral know-how.
