Water Hike - 3.5 hours - Ages 8 and up

Water hiking is the perfect way to explore the Verdon at a leisurely pace. You’ll make your way right through the river, in the heart of a spectacular canyon, surrounded by turquoise waters, majestic cliffs, and unspoiled landscapes. Suitable for even the youngest participants, this outing is perfect for sharing a moment of relaxation, adventure, and discovery with your family.

How does it work?

After a thorough briefing on safety guidelines and the itinerary, you’ll set off to explore the Verdon accompanied by your guide.

The activity begins with a 15-minute approach hike to the magnificent Roman bridge at Tusset. You’ll then spend at least 1 hour and 30 minutes in the river, alternating between walking, swimming, and wading through waterways, all while taking in the canyon’s breathtaking scenery.

Unlike canyoning, river hiking requires neither ropes nor harnesses since it takes place directly in the river. Throughout the hike, your guide will share their knowledge of the Verdon, its flora and fauna, and its history. Jumps may also be offered depending on conditions and the group’s skill level. They are always optional.

The outing ends at the foot of the Samson Gorge, followed by a roughly 5-minute walk back to the starting point.
