Gilles and his team of qualified instructors will introduce you to canyoning. Enjoy the most beautiful gorges in the Cévennes:the Chassezac gorges!
These gorges form one of the region's most spectacular canyons. From the Vivarais cévenol to the garrigues of the Ardèche, the Chassezac rises in Lozère at an altitude of over 1503m! The cliffs of these gorges rise up like a wall, separating the massif from the Cévennes. These gorges offer crystal-clear waters and a reserve of exceptional fauna, flora and animals!
Obstacles: this route is considered to be an aquatic hike without rope techniques, where all obstacles are optional.
Your guide: the canyoning offered by our partner is supervised by qualified and experienced guides.
Your qualified instructor will meet you at the leisure center. After an equipment session and briefing, you'll have to make your own way to the Bas-Chassezac canyon at Pied de Borne (a 45-minute drive, or an appointment can be made on site if you're nearby). The activity begins with an easy 1-hour hike, followed by a picnic lunch (to be arranged). After lunch, you're off for around 3 to 4 hours in the water, alternating between jumps (up to 5 meters), slides on natural toboggans, swimming and wading in the water. 10-minute return walk.
With family or friends, canyoning is always a good way to spend a day in the great outdoors!

Super! Done with my 13 and 15 year old daughters, who loved it. The course is very accessible, while still providing thrills if you want them (jumps, slides). Our 2 guides were great and the scenery magnificent. We recommend it!

The activity itself is top-notch, but it would be preferable to announce and specify in advance that the 45-minute ascent is difficult, even extremely difficult, after a day in the water.
