We had an appointment at 2.50pm, so we waited 30 minutes because some people weren't on the schedule. The hammam is nice. For the scrub I was expecting a real scrub with black soap and black glove, but it was a grain scrub (probably coffee or walnut shells). Then the body wrap said ghassoul with eucalyptus, but it was ghassoul alone (which suited me because I'm pregnant, but it's good to know). During the wrap, a man went into the hammam, except that he had to pass through our treatment room, so there wasn't much respect for our privacy, even if he did go behind a screen. When I got out of the shower, I asked my partner for my bathrobe, which was fortunate because another man was coming out of the hammam and I was shirtless. The massage wasn't great, the facilities aren't designed to massage properly - there's no headrest, so the shoulders aren't relaxed. We were massaged on a "double" table, so it wasn't practical for the practitioners to massage each side properly, plus the table is super high, which is difficult for them. My husband didn't get a face massage, and I didn't get a foot massage. Hot oil would have been nicer, and maybe a hot drink to finish off. I'm still disappointed with this surprise, which I had planned for my partner's birthday. I won't be returning to this salon. I'd like to point out that the two young beauticians (one with a lumbar belt, the other with braids) are very kind and understanding, but I don't think the salon is suited to relaxing customers or to the well-being of its practitioners.
