What is Massage aux Pochons?

Pouch massage, also known as Indian Ayurvedic pouch massage, is a massage technique that combines elements of traditional Thai massage with the use of herbal pouches. These pochons are sachets filled witha mixture of aromatic herbs, often medicinal herbs, spices and sometimes mineral salts.

The massage is performed in two stages:

• Step 1: application of black sesame oil or an ayurvedic herbal blend.
• Step 2: application of steam-heated pouches that act as a fomentation to activate circulation and nourish tissues with the active principles of the plants.
