In the heart of Rouen, you'll be invited to take part in a fun, sensory tasting tour, where you'll learn how to put words to sensations & describe a wine. In a relaxed atmosphere, you'll have the chance to ask all your questions, and discover or rediscover the notions of aromas and terroirs.
Oenology course (2h30):
- Discover 4 great wines, through a fun sensory journey
- Learn about the main concepts in the world of wine: how to read a label, choose and buy a bottle without making a mistake; how to make simple food and wine pairings; understand the concepts of grape variety and terroir, ageing times and decanting, etc.
- Discover the concept of aromas with the Wine Aroma Game (Le Nez du Vin© by Jean Lenoir).
- Cocktail pairings.
- Tasting aids offered to keep a record of your initiation.
Wine initiation is a superb activity for all wine lovers! Suitable for beginners and advanced alike.

Very interesting and enjoyable workshop. Nice discovery. Great time. On the other hand, it lasts quite a long time (close to 4 hours), which is good, but it takes a little while to get going, and we're left standing, perhaps high stools would allow participants to sit down and create a faster form of conviviality, as well as a little "ICE breaker" to quickly get to know each other because at the beginning no one knows each other and throughout the workshop participants remain "in a row". So, of course, things loosen up as the workshop progresses 😁. But otherwise it was really great!
