Paragliding in Annecy: the historical discipline

Paragliding originated in the Annecy region in the late 70s. Indeed, the area offers perfect flying conditions thanks to its relief, its slope and its aerological peculiarities! It has become a place of pilgrimage for all paragliding enthusiasts!

Course of the flight :

Welcome : introductions and administrative formalities.
Transfer to the take-off area in Doussard.
Unfolding of the glider and fitting of the equipment for your tandem flight.
You'll see the glider appear above your head,take a few steps forward and feel your feet leave the ground - thrills guaranteed from the very first seconds!
Your instructor will perform several maneuvers, playing with the thermal updrafts, and you can even take the controls if you wish.

Different options are available:

Discovery flight: this takes place in the morning in mild aerological conditions! It's perfect for those who want to enjoy the view without getting spooked, or for the very young.
The ascent baptism: this takes place in the afternoon and lets you discover all that paragliding has to offer! You'll fly close to the relief, jump from one rock face to the next, and try to catch the updrafts so you can overlook the valley.
Prestige flight: the longest flight of all! You'll fly over the lake and beyond, with a breathtaking view of the Haute-Savoie countryside. You'll even be able to fly over mountain peaks and discover a unique unobstructed view.
