Pibal fishing on the Garonne at night in Bordeaux

Take part in a totally new experience and discover the art of game fishing! Alongside Jean-Marie, you'll be introduced to this exceptional sport, reserved for professional anglers. You'll set off at night on the Garonne, illuminated by the boat's headlights, for a 2-4 hour fishing session. The aim: to catch these migratory fry using two sieves.

Pibal fishing

Only carried out at night, the pibale is fished at the mercy of the tides, on the edge of the ocean. The pibale is a rare and therefore expensive fish, with a kilo fetching around 400€.

How does it work?

Duration: 2 to 4 hours - From 15 years old - Up to 3 people

When you arrive at the meeting point, Jean-Marc will take you out on his boat. You'll set off on a 2 to 4-hour nocturnal expedition on the Garonne River, and discover an adapted fishing method. Jean-Marie will put out his best nets (pibalous) on either side of the boat, allowing him to sift the river downstream. At the end of the fishing trip, you'll have the opportunity to taste the fruits of your catch (depending on quantity).
