Raft the Durance, a magnificent river at the gateway to the Ecrins National Park, between the village of Châteauroux and Embrun. With family or friends, you're in for an extraordinary adventure!
Rafting on the Durance
Guided tour - 2h30 - Class III / IV river - From age 8
The Durance is a large river formed by numerous glacial torrents; it's ideal for a first Whitewater experience or for family cruises. It features large, impressive but relatively easy wave trains.
Your guide: you'll be accompanied by Patrice or a member of his team. All instructors are state-qualified and guarantee maximum safety.
How does it work?
After a safety briefing , your guide will give you your equipment and teach you the essential rafting maneuvers: right, left, forwards or backwards. Then it's your turn: you're off down the Durance and into the thrills.
All courses are adapted to your level, providing great thrills for beginners and advanced rafters alike.

Know before you go
- Minimum 4 participants. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, you will be offered an alternative date.
- From 8 years of age.
- Must be able to swim.
- Available from April to September.
- Allow around 2h30 for the activity, including 1h15 on the water.
- Please contact the partner the day before your activity to confirm the date and time. You'll find their contact details on your booking form.
- Bring sports shoes, a towel and a swimsuit.
- All equipment is supplied: safety vest, helmet, paddle, wetsuit and 5 mm neoprene jacket.
