Activity description :

Amythical site, world-famous thanks to the 1844 novel Le Comte de Monte-Cristo , discover the Château d'If and its unique panorama. Off the coast of Marseille, this monument was attached to the Kingdom of France in 1480, and had a triple purpose: protection, surveillance and defense of the city.

Opening hours :

  • Open all year round
  • Between October 1 and March 31: 10:30-17:15, closed on Mondays
  • April 1 to end September: 10:30-18:00 daily
  • Closed on January 1, May 1 and December 25
  • In the event of bad weather, the Château d'If is closed
