During this interactive guided tour and accompanied by a guide specializing in historical tourism, you'll gain insight into this period of change and the foundations of our republic.

Places visited :

  • Depart from the Château de Versailles and take the Avenue de Paris to the Hôtel des Menus Plaisirs, the site of the opening of the États Généraux on May 5, 1789, the proclamation of the National Assembly on June 17 and the abolition of privileges on the night of August 4-5, followed by the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen.
  • You'll then reach the Salle du Jeu de Paume, where the deputies swore to give France a constitution on June 20, 1789.
  • Pass through Place Saint-Louis, the scene of debates and business meetings, before returning to Place d'Armes, the arrival point for the Women's March on October 5, 1789 and the departure of the royal family on October 6.
