Departures are at your convenience from our base in La Roque-Gageac, between 9.30am and 5pm. Buses return from Les Milandes at 12.30, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7pm.

How does it work?

Our first "Parcours des Châteaux" is accessible to all: it's an easy 9-kilometer trip that lets you discover the flora and fauna of the peaceful Dordogne River and its unforgettable landscapes. You'll pass at the foot of one of France's most beautiful villages, La Roque-Gageac, the château and gardens of Marqueyssac, the château-fort and village of Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, the château de Fayrac, the feudal castle and village of Beynac, and finally the Château des Milandes, home of Joséphine Baker.

Along the way, you'll find numerous wild beaches, snack bars and picnic areas. Allow up to 2 hours for the descent, excluding breaks.
