Experience an adventure full of thrills and breathtaking scenery on a canoe-kayak trip in the Ariège. From calm to adrenaline-pumping, this trip lets you enjoy the river to the full, while admiring some remarkable natural sites, including the famous Pont du Diable.

Canoeing and kayaking Mercus - Foix

Guided trip - Approx. 2h30 - Accessible river - From age 8

This descent stretches over 9 km between Mercus and Foix. Aboard a canoe or kayak for 1 or 2 people, you'll discover rapids punctuated by calmer moments to take full advantage of the surrounding nature. You'll have the chance to admire the Pont du Diable from the river and marvel at the varied, unspoilt landscapes of the Ariège.

Your guide

You'll be accompanied by a state-qualified instructor, who'll guide you all the way down the river, give you tips on how to navigate and look after your safety, so you can enjoy the thrills of whitewater with complete peace of mind.

How does it work?

When you arrive at the base, your guide will provide you with all the necessary equipment (lifejacket, helmet and paddle) and explain the safety instructions. Once you're ready, we'll take you to the starting point, where you'll embark for a 2.5-hour trip down the river, between rapids and calm stretches, until you arrive in Foix.
