Discovery canoeing in Foix

Guided tour - Approx. 2 hrs. - Accessible river - From age 8

The discovery trail stretches for 3 km between the Ferrières hydroelectric plant and the Foix whitewater stadium. Aboard your canoe or kayak, you'll make your way down the river, enjoying a mix of small rapids and calmer stretches. It's an ideal way to discover the activity while admiring the natural landscapes of the Ariège.

Your guide

You'll be accompanied by a state-qualified instructor, who will explain navigation techniques and guide you down the rapids in complete safety.

How does it work?

When you arrive at the base, your guide will give you the necessary equipment (lifejacket, helmet and paddle), then explain the safety instructions and the basics of navigation. Once you're ready, we'll take you to the starting point, where you'll embark and enjoy the ride down the river to the Foix whitewater stadium.
