Canoeing and Kayaking on the Gorges du Diable

Guided Route - Ages 4 and up - All skill levels

On calm waters, you’ll explore a section of the Gorges that’s difficult to access except by canoe or kayak. You’ll paddle independently under supervision in your own boat! You can also enjoy the water zip line at the water sports center.

How does it work?

Upon arrival at the water sports center in Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, our partner will provide you with the equipment and brief you on safety guidelines. You’ll then set off on your trip along the river. At the end of your trip, you’ll return to the starting point to return the equipment.

Various options are available:

• Canoe/Kayak: 1 or 2 people. A trip on calm waters where you can stop whenever you like—whether for a break, to explore the rugged terrain of the Gorges du Diable, or simply to have a picnic.
• Indian/Tribal Canoe: 3 to 6 people. This brings you together in a single boat, encouraging teamwork. Your children can even join you so the whole family can be together!

You’ll have a great time with family or friends, on your own, or even with your pet! All you have to do is grab your paddle, climb into your chosen boat, put on your life jacket, and set out to conquer the Hérault River—not to mention the chance to cool off in its clear waters.
