With its hot-air balloon, you'll discover the Loire Valley from the sky in a hot-air balloon for an extraordinary experience. Here's your chance to take a hot-air balloon ride in Saumur and see Anjou from the sky.
Saumur castle: the ideal place to discover hot-air ballooning
Enjoy the view of the Château de Saumur, the Chapelle Royale Notre-Dame des Ardilliers, the Chapelle Saint-Jean and many other splendid landscapes. You'll be accompanied by an experienced balloonist with over 1,000 hours' flying experience. If this is your first hot-air balloon flight, you'll have no fear!
Course of the flight :
- Welcome: short briefing, balloon inflation: unfolding the envelope
- Board the basket for take-off. Flights take place in the morning at sunrise or in the evening just before sunset.
- Itinerary: no pre-determined route, flights are wind-driven
- Gentlelanding
- Arrival: recovery of the balloon, followed by the aeronaut's drink and return to the initial departure point with the partner's vehicle.
Several packages are available:
- Pleasure: 3h15 of activity with approximately 1 hour of flight
- Exception: 3h30 of activity with approximately 1h20 of flight time

Delighted with the flight. We flew over the Loire and the beautiful city of Saumur with its majestic castle. The aeronaut gave us information about the places we flew over. It was a wonderful discovery.

Know before you go
- Duration: 3h15 including 1h flight or 3h30 including 1h20 flight - depending on ticket
- Flights: Spring - Summer: from 5am to 7am and from 5pm to 9pm Autumn - Winter: from 8am to 9am and from 3pm to 5pm
- Season from April to October
- Please contact the funpro for the weather report: the day before the flight from 7pm for a morning flight; the same day from 1:30pm for an evening flight.
- Not suitable for pregnant women, children under 7 or people with reduced mobility. Pregnant women are accepted during the 1st trimester of pregnancy.
- Dress appropriately: heels forbidden, no skirts or shorts. Cap or hat recommended.
- In the event of bad weather, you will be offered a postponement - no refunds possible.
- This partner specifies that passengers weighing over 90kg must make an appointment in the morning only during the months of June, July, August and September. They will not be able to book evening appointments during these months.
- All passengers must be able to stand upright for the duration of the flight without external assistance, and climb into the gondola under their own power.
