Starting from Héric, discover what it’s like to fly with plenty of time to understand, try things out, and try again. Accompanied by an instructor, you’ll gradually get the hang of flying in the lush green surroundings north of Nantes.
This program lets youexplore those initial sensations in greater depth and review the techniques at your own pace. Questions are part of the program—even those that come up after the briefing.
Your itinerary:
Depending on the route you choose, your flight may take in the Erdre Valley around Nort-sur-Erdre and Sucé-sur-Erdre, as well as views of Nantes and the landscapes of the Loire Valley. Other routes let you explore the Nantes–Brest Canal, the area around the Château de la Groulaie in Blain, or the Gâvre Forest.
You can share your preferences before departure. The itinerary is designed to support your learning and depends on weather and air traffic conditions; not all of the locations mentioned are included in a single session.
How the activity works:
- Before the flight: Your instructor will discuss your expectations and any prior experience you may have. They’ll introduce you to the aircraft, explain the controls, go over safety procedures, and outline the planned exercises.
- A gradual introduction to flying: During the flight, you’ll discover how the controls work and, under the instructor’s supervision, practice staying on course, maintaining level flight, and making turns.
The instructor adapts the exercises to your comfort level and the conditions of the day. The time available allows you to practice the maneuvers, better understand the aircraft’s responses, and discover how ground reference points help with navigation. - After the flight: a debriefing allows you to review the exercises performed, share your impressions, and discuss areas you’d like to explore further.
