Workshop Schedule (3 hours):

• Introduction to the craft: an overview of straw marquetry, French-dyed rye straw, and the tools used.
• Choosing the design and colors: Select a geometric pattern and put together your color palette.
• Preparing the strands: cutting and shaping the straw entirely by hand.
• Creating your artwork: placing the strands one by one to build your design and reveal the play of light through the straw.
• Finishing touches: cleaning and final adjustments to complete your one-of-a-kind piece.
