Activity itinerary (7 hours):
- Discovering wild plants used in basketry: from bramble to clematis, including the queen of French basketry, the willow.
- Identify and harvest these plants according to their seasonal availability.
- Return to the workshop to begin making your basket. You’ll follow these steps:
- Learning hoop-weaving techniques to create the basket’s frame
- Creating “eye of God” knots
- Placing the basket’s ribs
- Simple weaving
- Each participant takes home their own basket.
No nails, no screws, no glue—just your hands, a pair of pruning shears, and wild plants to make a basket that will last a lifetime.
Bonus: You’ll receive a digital PDF booklet of the workshop with all the key points and a summary of the steps.
Julien invites you to join him for a day of sharing and unwinding, packed with learning, all in a small group to ensure a friendly atmosphere and personalized guidance.
