Check out the Recycled Paper Workshop at the Ferme de Gally in Saint-Denis for a great weekend activity!
Over the course of 45 minutes, kids will learn how to make their own sheet of recycled paper. They’ll discover the secrets of the history of paper, as well as manufacturing and recycling techniques! Kids leave with a dried sheet of paper.
Included with ticket purchase:
- Access to the entire farm and all its animals: goats, sheep, pigs, a horse, a donkey, rabbits, chickens, ducks, and guinea fowl.
- Access to the museum to discover farming techniques of the past, present, and future through an exhibition of antique tools and vintage videos filmed by the farm’s former market gardeners.
- At 3: 00 p.m. (except on Wednesdays) and 5: 30 p.m., children can enter the animal enclosures accompanied by a staff member.

Quite a simple workshop but quite nice, but my children were disappointed not to leave with their creations, and it's a shame no one took us on a tour of the farm afterwards. We felt a bit rushed after the workshop and abandoned, so the visit was short, and we made up for it with an ice cream at the Macdo next door.

Due to the very cold weather, we couldn't go to the urban farm for the paper workshop. Much to our regret, as everything we did there (butter workshop, apple juice workshop) was very good.

My two granddaughters and I attended our third workshop, on recycled paper. Led by the young and charming Penelope, the workshop went very well, the children participated well, learned a lot and left, delighted, with sheets of recycled paper to take home... Another fine afternoon, creative and instructive.

As a Works Council, we offered both the workshop and the tour. Here's what one staff member had to say: "- Recycled paper activity was very instructive and manual (eco-responsible, recycling), the farm was nice, we had a tray of vegetables to feed the animals. - A great activity to do as a family or between children, colleagues and friends".

Super afternoon with children from 3 to 9 years old. We did a recycled paper activity and visited the farm, feeding the animals as they came straight into their homes. The children loved it, the team is very educational, and I say BRAVO and thank you!

The "paper" workshop, less popular than the "bread" workshop, was just as exciting (2 children, one 6 and the other 10). The organizer was very attentive and my son really enjoyed this relaxing moment. A very pleasant time shared at the Saint Denis farm.

The farm is less than 10 minutes' walk from the metro (line 13 - Saint-Denis Université stop).

Know before you go
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the activity starts.
- There is no parking at the farm, so please allow time to find parking or to come by public transport.
- Please bring your booking voucher and proof of entitlement if you are buying a reduced rate, which you will be asked to show at the entrance to the farm.
- Children remain the responsibility of their parents or carers, even during the activity.
- Registration for the apple juice workshop is open to children aged 4 and over.
- Accompanying adults must purchase a "Farm visit only" ticket.
- For the health and well-being of the animals, please do not feed them anything other than the food provided at the entrance.
