Sheep shearing is open!

Discover all the secrets of wool through demonstrations and fun workshops on the farm, for children and adults alike.

On the program for the day:

Shearing our sheep! 2pm to 4pm
Shearing demonstration with expert commentary.
Visit the animal enclosures (10am-7pm)
Children and their families are invited to discover the animal pens with an animator.
Workshop from raw wool to yarn (10am-7pm)
Discover or rediscover ancient tools: the carding machine for brushing wool, the spinning wheel for spinning it. Take a piece of raw wool and go through all the steps until you get a yarn you can keep!
Magic bracelet workshop (10am-7pm)
Make pretty, colorful bracelets.
Wool collage (10am-7pm)
Dress up a paper sheep with real wool!
Natural wool dyeing workshop (10am-7pm)
Using freshly harvested plants, dye wool and make a little souvenir to take home.

A wonderful day for the wool festival, sheep shearing and wool workshops! Visit to the enclosures with the animals! The host and hostess listened attentively and offered a warm welcome. I highly recommend the Gally farm in Saint Denis for a great family day out! You can also picnic on site.
