A rather disappointing experience overall. Unfortunately, the speaker didn't master his subject... you could tell he was much more passionate about whisky than rum. The tasting program wasn't respected either: we didn't learn the vocabulary of tasting, nor the right way to taste a rum and how to describe what we felt... It was a birthday present, I was expecting to learn more about this fascinating world, and improve my relationship with tasting, but in the end we tasted supermarket rums of little interest that the speaker hadn't taken the time to discover beforehand. I was the one who had to teach him what type of aging had been carried out on his own bottles (because, according to him, "it's not written on the label"...). In short, if you want to discover the world of rum, I wouldn't recommend a 30-minute tour of the cellar.
