Sailing day cruise on a sailboat in the Arcachon basin

This excursion will give you the opportunity to discover sailing on a sailboat for a day. You'll have time to learn all the main sailing techniques, while enjoying the scenery of the Bay of Arcachon.

The course - Arcachon and its treasures

Duration: 7 hours

Departing from the port of Arcachon, you'll take to the sea for a day trip, from 10am to 5pm, devoted entirely to sailing. Thierry, your professional skipper, will accompany you throughout the day to teach you navigation techniques. Throughout the day, you'll discover the surrounding landscapes: Cap Ferret, the Dune du Pilat, Ile aux oiseaux in the middle of the Bassin, the picturesque oyster-fishing villages of Herbe and Canon... During the excursion, Thierry will teach you the main rules of navigation: how to stay on course, how to set the sails for different points of sail, how to tack... By the end of the day, you'll have mastered the skills of sailing and the basics of how a sailboat works. The cruise includes a lunch break and a swim. Don't hesitate to ask Thierry to order some delicious local produce to enjoy on board: seafood platter, local charcuterie, oyster tasting. On returning to port, everyone can once again take part in the sailing or relax on the yacht. Arrival in port at 5 p.m.

The boat - The White Pearl

You'll board the White Pearl, an elegant 13 m-long cruising yacht with room for 9 passengers. Renowned for her speed on the water, the White Pearl is capable of sailing in light airs as well as strong winds. Its elegant teak deck is ideal for sunbathing, and its protected cockpit welcomes you on cooler days or in the off-season.
