A vegetable garden on the roofs of the Opéra Bastille? Yes, hidden from the view of pedestrians, this 2,500 m2 agroecological and productive garden is now open to a lucky few! Come and discover vegetable gardening in the city, in this unusual oasis of greenery with a breathtaking view of Paris!
Workshop (1h30) :
- Welcome by Mathilde and Arnaud, who will explain the workshop.
- Discover the different techniques and activities as the seasons go by: sowing carrots in March, planting tomatoes in May, taking cuttings from aromatic plants in September...
- Talk to Arnaud or Mathilde about the challenges of greening cities and growing vegetables in urban spaces.
- Each participant will leave with new plants to grow at home or a vegetable garden product to enjoy, as well as images engraved forever in your memory.

Scam. Scandalous theft. The organizer left before the appointment time, without checking on registrations, leaving 3 people stranded, including my daughter, a young teenager... Result: service paid for but not provided, even though we were there. Kenza, the receptionist, can testify to this, as can the security staff at the entrance. The guy was unreachable by phone (we were given the wrong number, he didn't answer the call from the lady at reception on his real number...). Of course, he didn't call us back or apologize. To this date, no proposal for a refund or a new date. To be avoided!

This workshop was a birthday present. It was given to me because the place was nice and it said "Each participant will leave with new plants to grow at home or a vegetable garden product to taste". We left empty-handed after weeding for 1h30, which was a bit labor-intensive. If you intend to keep this formula, adapt your prices or remove this misleading paragraph. As it is, I wouldn't recommend it.

After the initial organizational problems (the date had been cancelled but I hadn't been notified), which set back my participation in the workshop by several months, I learned a few tricks, got to see inside the Opéra Bastille and enjoyed the superb view over Paris at the end.

This very interesting and friendly workshop led by Arnaud in fine weather was really top-notch, and the view from the roof of the Opera Bastille was breathtaking at practically 360 degrees!😮 Very nice experience and what's more, we came away with different kinds of basil. Thank you Arnaud 🙏🏻
