Can you recognize birds? By taking part in a bird recognition workshop at our farm in Saint-Cyr-l'École, you'll learn to recognize the birds around you, the clues they leave behind, and the different beaks, legs, feathers, eggs, nests... of the birds of our region.
You can cancel free of charge up to 7 days before the date of the activity.
Activity description :
- 45 minutes

Ideal for children, discover the animal recognition workshop at the Ferme de Gally in Saint-Cyr-l'École, Yvelines.
Workshop description: Chickadee, passerine, moorhen, magpie, gull, wagtail...
- In winter, you'll make a bird feeder and receive an identity card at the end of your workshop.
- In spring, you'll make a mold of a bird's footprint, and receive an identity card at the end of your workshop.
At least one accompanying adult must be present for the farm visit and activity. For children aged 5 to 12.
The bird workshop gives access to the entire Ferme de Gally in Saint-Cyr-l'Ecole, including a visit to the animals. Children can admire the goats, sheep, cows, pigs, hair, donkeys, pigs and chickens of the Ferme Ouverte. At least one accompanying adult must be present for the farm visit and activity.

Nice workshop, but too many "quizzes" and the kids thought they could see real birds. Thanks to the presenter, who was clearly motivated.

Very pleasant activity, the only downside being that you'd have to warn us in advance when the activity might be messy, so that we can bring along a safe outfit or apron. Because vegetaline was used and it's very difficult to get rid of.

Indoor activity, question-and-answer game with no manipulation (apart from the grease ball at the end) or real observation. My 5-year-old son liked it, but I didn't find it so good. The animator is nice and creates a good atmosphere.

My grandchildren were delighted to take part in the bird workshop at Ferme de Gally (St Cyr). Guillaume, the instructor, was very clear in his explanations. He was attentive and did his best to balance the children's participation. We had a great time.

Very friendly welcome, parent/child workshop for 5/8 year olds rather than 12 year olds. Affordable price. Children leave with their creations, a real plus.

Know before you go
- Workshops are limited to about 20 children.
- Workshop participants are expected to arrive 15 minutes before the session starts. Please bring your reservation voucher with you.
- Registration for the bird activity is limited to children ages 5 through 12.
- Children remain the responsibility of their guardians and parents, including during the activity.
- Please do not feed or pick up the animals for their well-being.
- A tour of the Ferme de Gally is included in the workshop price.
- In case of rain or cold weather, we will bring the animals inside.

- Wednesday: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
- Île-de-France school breaks: 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
