This tour is an opportunity for you and your family to discover the fauna, flora and geology of the southern Ardèche.
How does it work?
On arrival at La Cabane Bateaux, our partner will give you all the equipment you need, then introduce you to the basics of canoeing. You'll then set off on a 7 km descent, either on your own or accompanied by a guide.
Several options are available:
- Independent descent: the team will give you safety instructions and explain how to handle the canoe or kayak.
- Guided descent: your state-qualified instructor will give you advice on how to make the most of your descent.
This activity is perfect if you want to discover the Chassezac Gorges on your own or with a guide . You'll enjoy at least a 2-hour descent with your family or friends.

Es hat alles super geklappt. Die Kanu-Strecke ist sehr eindrücklich. Sehr ruhige Stellen, welche zum Baden einladen, wechseln ab mit einigen schnelleren und engeren Abschnitten. Sehr lohnenswert!

How to get there:
- By car: 30 minutes from Sampzon via D111
Know before you go
- You need to be able to swim.
- You must be in good physical condition.
- Bring closed shoes, a bottle of water, a hat and sun protection with covering clothing.
- Canoe = 2 places (or 3 if children aged 7 to 10 are in the middle); Kayak = 1 place (from age 14 upwards, lighter + easier to handle, therefore more pleasant to maneuver).
- Activities not authorized for pregnant women, severely overweight, heart problems, recent injuries or operations.
- Please arrive 15 minutes in advance.
