First flight in a hang glider at Coltines (15)

Activity description :

Discover the superb landscapes of the Auvergne and Cantal regions on a first flight in a hang glider. During this activity, you can admire the superb valleys of the Auvergne with Cédric and experience an unforgettable moment at altitude. You'll fly aboard a pendular microlight, a machine with a hang-glider wing to which a 3-wheeled trolley is attached.

The Cantal: ideal for discovering microlight flying

Depart from Coltines, in the heart of the Cantal region, and take to the skies in a pendular microlight. During your first flight, you'll be able to fly over the Château de Chavagnac, the Puy Mary volcano and the Truc de la Garde.

Course of the flight :

• Welcome at the Saint-Flour-Coltines aerodrome: ground briefing and safety instructions.
• Boarding of the hang glider and final instructions.
• Take off for a 20 to 60 minute flight, depending on the option chosen.
• Smooth landing and debriefing with the pilot.

Several flight options are available:

• 20-minute flight : Planèze volcanic plateau, Chavagnac castle, Lac du Pêcher and the Neussargues valley, the upper town of Saint-Flour and Sailhant castle.
• 30-minute flight : Puy Mary volcano with its mountain pastures and burons, the glacial valley of Brezon, the Cézallier mountains or the Haute Truyère valley and its lake, the Garabit viaduct and Alleuze castle, the Margeride mountains with Mont Mouchet and Truc de la Garde.
• 60-minute flight : Puy Mary volcano and its glacial valleys, Salers, the glacial valley of Falgoux and the Alagnon gorges, or Aubrac and Lozère.
