During the flight, you will be able to take full advantage of the views of the largest volcano in Europe and the magnificent landscapes of the Cantal. The Saint-Flour area is a preserved site classified as a NATURA 2000 zone. Saint-Flour, a city of art and history, cultivates its mountainous character, perched on a volcanic promontory. Situated at the crossroads of the Monts du Cantal, the Margeride and the Truyère gorges, its natural attractions, prized by nature sports enthusiasts, make up landscapes that are all the more striking because you can contemplate them from the sky.

Course of the flight with the geese :

Welcome at the Saint-Flour airfield and briefing: safety instructions and flight programme.
Equipment and final briefing before take-off.
Take off for a unique one hour flight.
You will fly with migratory birds and discover their fabulous world. The pilot will explain the biology and characteristics of the species flying with you.
At the end of the flight, you will land in unison with the birds.

This flight with the red-breasted geese was a magical moment. I shared some unforgettable moments with these magnificent birds over some superb landscapes. I was able to caress their plumage, and it's very powerful. I still have the video to relive what I experienced. I'd like to thank Chtistian Moullec and his team for their kindness and the affection they show the birds, allowing us to fly as close to them as possible. Wonderful memories!

- From St Flour: take the D926 towards Aurillac / Ussel, then turn right onto the D14 and follow the signs to Coltines Aerodrome.
- From Clermont-Ferrand: 1h20 by car via A75
- From Aurillac : 1h via N122

Know before you go

Minimum age: 10 years, with written parental permission and presence of a parent.
Maximum passenger weight: 95 kg.
Flying conditions: passengers accept the specific constraints linked to the organisation of a microlight flight.
Pregnant women are not allowed.
Flights from mid-March to mid-October.
Good footwear is required.
Confirmation of flights: the time of the meeting will be confirmed beforehand. Passengers must contact the Flying with Birds team by telephone before 7pm the night before for the next morning's flight or the same day between 12.30pm and 1.30pm for an evening flight.
If the flight cannot take place, notably because of bad weather conditions, security conditions or insufficient number of passengers. The flight will then be postponed to another date, at the customer's discretion, subject to availability.
