For a truly extraordinary flight in Tenerife, our partner offers a tandem paragliding flight from the slopes of Mount Teide, Spain’s highest peak. You’ll take off high in the mountains, at an altitude of up to 2,250 meters, and fly for about 25 minutes over forests and valleys all the way to the ocean. You’ll land on a beach along the coast. A certified professional pilot will accompany you, and no experience is required.
This is the most spectacular flight in the lineup, perfect for those who want to enjoy a unique experience during their stay. Pickup from your hotel is included, as is transportation to the mountain launch site. Allow half a day for this activity.
Izaña, at the foot of Mount Teide
The flight takes off from Izaña, a high-altitude site at the foot of Mount Teide, in the heart of the national park. It overlooks the sea of clouds and much of the island. The flight takes off from this volcanic landscape and descends toward the coast. Depending on the day’s itinerary, the landing takes place on the beach at Puerto de la Cruz or on the east coast.
Flight Itinerary
- Pickup: A vehicle will pick you up at your hotel in the southern part of the island and take you to the Izaña takeoff site.
- Safety briefing: Your pilot will explain the safety instructions and the takeoff run, then fit you with a helmet and harness.
- Takeoff and flight: You’ll launch from the mountain for a roughly 25-minute flight, from Mount Teide to the ocean.
- Landing and return: You’ll land on the beach, and then the vehicle will take you back to your hotel. Allow about 4 hours in total.
