With Atelier Laine, for children aged 5 to 12, you can also visit La Ferme de Gally and the educational trails in the woods.
How the workshop works :
With your help, your child can make a beautiful sheep's wool frame to take home.
The wool workshop gives access to the entire Ferme de Gally in Saint-Cyr-l'Ecole, including a visit to the animals.
Come and discover our sheep, our dwarf alpine goats known for their tenderness, our 850-kilo horse Andalouse and Vanille et Chocolat, our ponies who accompany Andalouse in summer in the meadows. Rabbits, donkeys and pigs are also part of our educational farm program. At least one accompanying adult must be present for the farm visit and activity.

my granddaughter is 9 years old: she got bored because the manual activity was very limited. The creativity isn't really there, given the small scale of the work. This activity is for little ones. For children aged 8 to 12, I don't see the point, and neither does my granddaughter.

The host, who was a nice girl by the way, didn't know that we CARDE wool; she talked to us about "framing" wool. Not very professional. It would be good to give more training to the instructors, who are certainly doing what they can. We'll be back for another course anyway.

Know before you go
- Workshops are limited to twenty children.
- Workshop participants are expected on site 15 minutes before the start of the session. Please bring your reservation form with you.
- Registration for the wool activity is reserved for children aged 5 to 12.
- Children remain the responsibility of their parents and carers, including during the activity.
- Please do not feed or carry the animals, for their well-being.
- A visit to Gally Farm is included in the price of the workshop.
- In the event of rain or cold, we bring the animals in under cover.
Farm opening times:
- Weekends & public holidays: 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Wednesday (except vacations, March to December): 2pm to 6pm
- Wednesdays (except vacations, November to February): 3:30 pm to 6 pm
- Île-de-France school vacations: 10am to 12:30pm and 2pm to 6pm
- School days: 4pm to 5:30pm
