Different types of soccer pitch

If a simple flat pitch and a ball are all you need, there are plenty of infrastructures to vary the pleasures. Whether indoors or outdoors, with a large or small team, for children or adults, amateurs or experts, there's no shortage of places to play soccer!

Indoor soccer

Indoor soccer or "futsal" resembles classic soccer, but is often played indoors, in a gymnasium or on a handball pitch. Games are played between two teams of 5 players.

Because of the small dimensions of the pitch, players are very active and a game requires good physical stamina. What's more, the ball is smaller and doesn't bounce much, making for a more technical ground game.

Classic soccer pitches

Classic soccer pitches comply with Law 1 of soccer, which defines the characteristics of the sport's playing surfaces. They come in a variety of surfaces: natural grass, synthetic, gravel or earth.

Equipped with synthetic pitches and large gymnasiums, multisport centers are a godsend for soccer fans who want to play close to home, often on the outskirts of major cities.

The best soccer centers in France

Modern, well-equipped infrastructures have sprung up all over France to enable soccer enthusiasts to practice in optimal conditions.

Le Five

"Le Five" is a network of 34 clubs across France (Île-de-France, Nancy, Tours...) with indoor synthetic pitches, open to all at all times. All the pleasure of playing soccer without the hassle!

What's more, the balustrades and nets surrounding the pitch will save you an incredible amount of time. You can even try your hand at another sport, padel, a cross between tennis and squash.

Urban Soccer

Urban Soccer centers across the country (30 centers, including 20 in the provinces) offer top-quality facilities for all indoor soccer enthusiasts.

Indoor and outdoor pitches, a modern artificial turf pitch, a bar/restaurant area, and even the possibility of filming and replaying matches! It's also possible to play indoor soccer with 7 players, rather than 5, at the Meudon center.

Kipstadium

Initiated by the Kipsta brand, the Kipstadium is a 45,000m² team sports facility in Tourcoing. A real space for sharing and playing, its 15 pitches are designed for soccer, but also basketball, rugby... and even footgolf!

You can play futsal in teams of 5 or 7, indoors or outdoors, or classic soccer in teams of 11. An ideal place for fun, training and tournaments, for all ages and levels!

What other activities can be enjoyed on a soccer pitch?

More and more, the soccer pitch is inspiring the creation of new, fun and original activities.

Bubble Foot

The principle is simple: play on the pitch wearing a giant bubble that protects players from head to knees. You'll be like bumper cars on legs. The aim is to stay upright as long as possible. Laughter guaranteed with Bubble Foot!

Archery Tag

This is a new sport that takes advantage of the terrain's potential in a whole new way. A cross between archery and paintball, Archery Tag is a strategic, dynamic game for the general public. The aim is to hit the opposing team and its spots on the pitch using a bow and arrow with foam tips.
