This workshop invites you to discover Raku, an ancient Japanese ceramic technique whose name means “happiness in chance.” Two sessions will take place in a unique studio in Boissy-sous-Saint-Yon, surrounded by a Japanese garden inspired by wabi-sabi, where the firing takes place

Workshop itinerary:

• 1st session — Modeling (3 hours): Create a clay piece freely according to your own ideas.
• Session 2 — Glazing and Raku firing (3 hours): Glaze your piece, then fire it using the Raku technique in the garden.
• Take home your unique piece, shaped and fired by your own hands.

Japanese tea is served during each session, for a complete immersion in the Japanese experience!
