Your Forest Survival Course in the Dordogne

Duration: 3 days / 2 nights - Ages 16 and up - No specific physical fitness required

Set in the heart of the Dordogne, this 3-day course will teach you the basics of survival in the great outdoors! The course begins at 8:00 PM and ends 2 days later at 4:30 PM. You’ll spend one night on a farm and one night in the forest.

Your guide: You’ll be accompanied by Denis Tribaudeau or a member of his team. All team members are passionate about survival and nature! So you’re in excellent hands!

You’ll learn:

• Food and water: foraging for wild fruits and vegetables, observing the natural environment, finding water, trapping (reminder of French laws regarding trapping and hunting), preparing meals over a wood fire, making weapons
• Shelter: setting up shelters, starting a fire without a lighter (reminder of current regulations; if there’s no ban, we’ll build a small campfire), sleeping in a bivouac
• Navigation: using a map and compass, by the sun, and topography
