After discovering the farm's vegetables in the field, the children will get down to the nitty-gritty of planting and sowing! A theoretical part will help them understand the needs of the plant they'll be sowing, and the seasonality of its development.
In completely biodegradable pots, children can sow seeds of farm vegetables, transplant strawberry plants or plant spinach shoots. These pots can be replanted directly in the planter on the balcony, terrace or even in the vegetable garden without removing the pot!

This workshop lasts 45 minutes and requires the presence of at least one accompanying adult for the visit to the farm and the activity.
Participation in the workshop entitles children to visit the Ferme Ouverte de Saint-Denis and its animals: goats, sheep and chickens. Every afternoon, children take part in feeding and caring for the animals. At the Saint-Denis Open Farm, you'll discover farming techniques of yesterday, today and tomorrow, through an exhibition of old tools and vintage videos shot by the Kersanté family.
