Introduction to ceramic modeling in Lyon

Activity description :

Discover ceramics through an accessible workshop, ideal for beginners. During this 2h30 workshop, you'll be introduced to the "pincé technique", an intuitive modeling method that involves shaping clay directly with your hands.

Course of the workshop (2h30):

• Using this technique, you will create a vase. This same creative base can also be transformed into a carafe or bottle, according to your inspiration and desires.
• Most of the workshop is devoted to creating the shape: understanding the material, mounting the walls, adjusting the volumes and refining the piece, step by step and at your own pace.
• At the end of the session, you'll have the opportunity to decorate your piece with engobes (colored earthenware), to personalize it.
• After the workshop, Noelia will take care of glazing and firing.
• Portrait, bust, totem, character, animal, mask... abstract or figurative, anything is possible!

Even with no previous experience, each participant leaves with a large, unique, finished piece, created from A to Z. It's a creative, convivial and rewarding way to discover ceramics, while leaving with a lasting, personal object.
