Introductory ceramics workshop in Riquewihr (68)

The potter's wheel experience is an immobile journey. The workshop is a creative bubble conceived as a refuge, where you leave your everyday life behind, leaving only the contact with clay.

Workshop schedule (2h) :

• Encounter with the material: I accompany you step by step to tame the clay, center it, assemble it and shape your pieces with gentleness and simplicity.
• The workshop ritual: Because craftsmanship is all about attention to detail, we'll dedicate the last few minutes to cleaning and caring for our shared creative space.

This workshop is a creative interlude where time slows down and the pleasure of creating takes center stage.

Once the pieces have been shaped, the craftsman takes over. They dry before a first firing at 980°C, then receive a transparent glaze for brilliance and strength, followed by a second firing at 1250°C. The creations are then available in the workshop about a month later, once they have come out of the kiln.
